Room 1 – Science Learnings & JP Sports Day Opinions
In Term 3, Room 1 has been learning about how things grow and change in their science unit.
We have explored many different living things! We planted beans to document and observe the changes. Students recorded these in our bean diaries, and we were surprised how quickly they grew!
We also explored the lifecycles of many different insects and animals.
To end our unit, we were lucky to visit the Adelaide Zoo, with Room 16. We participated in a lifecycle session led by a Zoo Educator about Blue Penguins and Australian Sea lions. We found it very rewarding to see all our learning in real life. We had a lot of fun!
Junior Primary Sports Day
Kingsley-I got first prize and fourth place and I was proud of myself.
Summer-I was so scared of the ghost and excited at the same time.
Lily-We played rock, paper, scissors and it was fun.
Ellie-We did a game called ghost maze. It was fun because there was a ghost in the maze.
Nash-The running was the best and I got a ribbon for coming third.
George S-Our first event was the sprints and the next event was the ghost maze. I thought the ghost maze was not scary!
Lucinda-We got ribbons in the sprints and I got a well done ribbon.
Zac-First I did the sprints and I got the well done ribbon.
Jonathon-Last week was Sports Day and I had lots of fun.
Beau-First we did the sprints and it was lots of fun and I came fourth. I was proud of myself.
Evie-Rose-First we did the sprints and I did it even with a sprained foot but I won a ribbon.
Jasmine-I was in Acacia. We are going to win. Go Acacia.
Ellie-On Sports Day I was on the blue team and I hoped the blue team would win.
Henry-My favourite game was the sprints. I came first and I got a first ribbon.
Kaj-I did the sprint and I wanted to win for my group.
Amelie-We went into the ghost maze on sports day and it was very scary.
Arabella-We played rob the nest.
Oscar-There was a running race and I got a second place ribbon.
George K-Some of the events were the ghost maze, rob the nest and sprints.
Mia-The sprints were fun. It was hard to beat a lot of people.
Sadie-Last we did rob the nest and we had lots of fun.
Josh-On sports day we had lots of games.
Logan-On Thursday it was Sports Day and we had a ghost maze.
Ethan-I got scared in the ghost maze because the scary ghost nearly got me.
Henry-Last Thursday we had Sports Day and we played lots of games.
