Room 17 – Zoo Snooze

At the beginning of this term, the Year 3’s from Room 17 enjoyed our ‘Zoo Snooze’ camp.  This event tied in with our Sustainability learning that has taken place throughout the year with Green Adelaide, Natural Resource Management, Trees for Life, Holdfast Bay Council and Aboriginal Community Education Officers.

Highlights on the Zoo Snooze included our night walk, feeding the goats, the ‘Flying Colours – Birds in Flight’ demonstration and workshops with zoo educators.

It was a very different experience to fall asleep with the distant sound of roaring lions and barking wolves and to be woken in the morning by howling monkeys! 

Students have learnt really well about responsible behaviours related to supporting the wonderful natural world of our planet.
