Friday 27 November – Classes shine on stage!
It was certainly a ‘hot, 40 degree Friday full of excitement as classes from across the whole school shared their Term 4 Performing Arts work. Playing to a smaller audience (just students and staff) than we’d originally hoped, it was still a great occasion. The costumes were fantastic and we salute the efforts of Mrs Theodosi and Mrs Angel for all of their preparation for the day. Thank you also to the choir and students who were our back stage and film crew for your efforts, not to mention Alva and Delilah for hosting the show. Students at Seacliff Primary School have just had a successful ‘End of Year Concert.’ All students have worked extremely hard in preparing for this annual event as part of the Performing Arts programme.
Performances showcased a smorgasbord of talent including comedy acts, dance routines, circus skills, singing and bucket drumming.
The focus of this year’s performances was a tribute to the 60 years of schooling at Seacliff Primary School.
Themes included:
Plays about past, present and future schools; a circus act paying homage to the years that circus skills was a subject taught at our school; evolution of dance styles and music from the 1960’s until now; and reducing waste so that we can have a healthy planet for many years to come.
Sprinkled throughout were dance routines to songs from animations and movies from 1960 until 2020, recognising that animation was a big part of our Media Arts focus this year.
