Room 11 and 15 Year 5s – AFL Max Camp
On Thursday the 16th of June, we headed off to AFL Max for our school camp. We stopped at Apex Park for free time and a scavenger hunt before we arrived at our venue. Our camp was focused on being a successful leader. We were involved in these 4 quarters:
- Q1: Be a better you
- Q2: Understand & advance your purpose
- Q3: Believe with passion
- Q4: Connect & communicate
In between these quarters, our students had free time in the venue whilst no one else was in there. Our students loved this time and spent hours kicking the footy, jumping on the trampolines and playing in the inflatable attractions.
On Thursday night we had a movie night on AFL Max’s GIGANTIC arena screen. Students settled into their beds that were spread out over the oval and enjoyed lots of snacks while we unwound from the tiring day. The next morning the fun continued with a few tired heads.
Thank you, AFL Max, for having us. We had a fantastic time!
Feedback to us from AFL Max…
Hi Steven,
My name is Sam from AFL Max, I just wanted to pass on some feedback about the your students and staff who attended Camp Max last week.
Your students represented your school and community extremely well. They were engaged, conscientious, and connected with one another the entire camp. They consistently demonstrated great manners, enthusiasm, and respect throughout their stay. May I also add that the professionalism, organisation, and care demonstrated by the attending teachers, especially Emily, made it a breeze for AFL Max staff. It takes a lot to organise a camp from a teachers end, and Emily was seriously fantastic!!
Kind regards,
Sam
