Student Voice Observations in Room 6
Student Voice in Learning Leaders Riley and Nicolas recently observed a Numeracy lesson with year 3 & 4 students in Room 6.
The task began with a ‘number talk’ focusing on skip counting, starting points and direction of counting. The students were given a variety of open-ended tasks where they choose the ways in which they responded.
The task: Choose a number to count by, (i.e. 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9 or choose your own). Decide which direction you will count in and skip count at least 30 times, recording your findings as you go.
We were able to observe many behaviours including ‘time on task’. We are preparing a summary of our observations and will provide these to Ms. Cameron soon.
