OSHC facility – extension at last!
Work in progress around our OSHC building
It has been fantastic to finally get work underway on the OSHC verandah extension. The planning for an extension to this facility has been happening over the last few years. Demands on the space available, particularly at times of inclement weather, has made the extension a high priority. Demolition work commenced on June 16. The aim for the project is to have it completed in readiness for the July school holidays, and to help cater for the very popular vacation care program that Sarah (Director) and the OSHC team run.
You will also notice that a range of other works will be happening around the school in the months ahead. These are often not exciting ‘projects’ but are addressing overdue maintenance and compliance requirements such as relaying lumpy sections of pathway pavers; plumbing works; improved bicycle and scooter management; cabling for IT infrastructure and removal of old/ugly decommissioned air window air conditioners.
Well done to Suzi (Business Manager) the OSHC Committee members, past and current, and to the admin team generally for all the work that gets done ‘out of the classroom’ that helps to keep a school running and looking good!
