Room 2 Strikes Gold!
This term we have been learning about natural, constructed and managed features as part of our Geography unit.
While we have been working hard to recognise the differences between these types of features we have also been learning how they are shown on maps. One of our favourite ways to learn has been by using Google Earth- flying all over the world to visit famous features and landmarks.
Last week we also discovered how helpful our learning could be!
We found our very own Pirate Treasure Map and used our new skills to find the buried treasure!
By solving clues and working together we were able to apply our knowledge of features to the Treasure Map. We must have learnt a lot because the map eventually led us to the beach volleyball court where we dug…and we dug… and we dug until…we found the hidden treasure.
Who would have thought that there would be treasure buried in our very own school beach volleyball court?
